Several of you have expressed interest in the Special Topics in Children’s Literature courses and wondered how you could fit one into your schedules. Our advice is to adjust your credit hours for other courses (change from 3 to 2) so that you can take an additional course and still total 32 credits.
If you have not already taken summer Institutes, C&T 5042 could also count as an in-program selective. It cannot, however, be substituted for 4140 or 4141, nor can it be taken as an out-of-program selective.
Remember Penny Colman’s non-fiction course will be offered in fall, spring, and summer. James Howe’s spring course will have very limited space and is geared toward experienced writers.
Do consider taking on an extra course to take advantage of these unique learning experiences!
