If you have your NY certification and substitute license, you are a strong candidate for subbing on your day off from internship or during holiday breaks (perhaps think ahead for January). If you don’t have your license yet, the principal at your school may be willing to sponsor you.
Great subs are always in demand, plus it’s a great way to get experience and exposure.

P.S. 154 is a school in the Mott Haven section of the South Bronx. We are looking for graduate students who are working to become full-time teachers, but who are also currently licensed NYCDOE substitutes and seeking to gain experience in a NYC public school with students who are excited to learn and teachers who wish to make every moment count (even and especially when a substitute is present).
